Story: Louise Pauline Uebergang (1848 - 1928)

Louise was the ninth child of Carl Gottlieb and Johanna Eleonora Uebergang. She was married to Johann Huf, a farmer of Lake Linlithgow, in St Michael's Lutheran Church, Hochkirch (Tarrington) on May 4, 1866 by Pastor C.W. Schürmann. Johann Huf died at the age of 34 years and for more than fifty years Louisa was a widow. She was left with five very young children - the eldest only ten years and she was eight months pregnant. Times were hard but her brother Carl Uebergang came to assist her and managed the farm until her sons were able to take over the property.
Throughout her life, Louisa was a devoted mother to her children and was a faithful child of God until her death.
